Hello Dear One,
My name is Esther, and I want to welcome you to my work and website where I will be sharing about
Integral Pelvic Therapy® Sessions (IPT®) and why it is such a wonderful addition to Womens' Health & Healing and a way to really get in touch with yourself and your body.
IPT® is not quite the same as regular Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy, but like PFPT, IPT® also aims at lengthening, strenghtening/softening, balancing and realigning the muscles. fascia and tissue in the Pelvic Bowl.
But on top of that, IPT® also contains quite a large field of holding space for you, and tuning in with you on several different layers of your Being, that are included, but not limited to the physical body only. To learn more about this click the Integral Pelvic Therapy Tab above.
I was born and raised in The Netherlands, started my yoga practice from an early age on, studied Hatha and Raja Yoga, Tai Chi and Shiatsu, and am a certified Kundalini Yoga and Prenatal Yoga Teacher. I have always been interested in working with people and especially with women. I believe we are immensely beautiful and powerful, and when we can connect deeply within ourselves, know our worth and strength, we are a true force with so so much creative potential!
I have a Reiki level I & II degree, and I used to be masseuse (regular and prenatal) for several years. I am also versed in healthy diets, supplements and remedies and so I know I can support you in a holistic and effective way should you desire that.
Even though I've had a healing practice of my own for many years, I felt there was a missing piece in Women's Healing and Health. This changed when I discovered Integral Pelvic Therapy® (IPT) in The Netherlands, and when I was done with my training, I knew this was the puzzle piece I was looking for.
IPT® often becomes the bridge between the medical world and holistic world where women 'who have tried it all' find us and ask for help. And often we can indeed be that 'missing link'. Many women/people with vulvas and vaginas, have experienced vulvar exams where they did not feel supported and heard, and were often left with medical trauma after their sessions. For many there was a feeling of the sessions having been rushed, there was not enough information about what the exam would entail and look like, and many were not involved in the process at all, leaving them feeling vulnerable, alone and scared. And this is not okay.
I am here to change this with you!
We see you as a whole complete Being, and we have the skill set as an IPT® practitioner to work with your pelvis in a safe and absolute consensual way. You decides what happens! We hear you, see you and will connect with you how you want and how your body wants. This alone creates a deep feeling of safety, and so healing and rediscovering yourself can take place. To feel safe is incredibly important for you and your body to be able to allow healing and change to happen. When we start to feel safe , that is when we can start to relax and trust ourselves and our bodies once again.
Please read the section on IPT® thoroughly, so you understand how we work, when we schedule our session together, and why there is always an intake that takes place.
Until we meet, with Love,
Esther Kristal Shilo
